Staying In Motion When The World Seems Unstable
The news just replays over and over again. Tariffs, high prices, uncertainty, and recession. I chose to disconnect as much as possible because sometimes, it’s just too much. Especially as an entrepreneur.
So, I decided to take a stand for myself. When the going gets tough, I come out swinging. Instead of asking, will my business survive, I ask myself, what if I showed up for myself?
What if I shifted from worrying about what’s out of my control to focusing on my business?
This means being courageous as an entrepreneur and not answering self-doubt with demise. Instead, I respond with an inner voice that says, you got this. One day, this will be a story you share on stage about resilience.
And in the past two and a half weeks, so much has happened simply because I decided to show up.
Momentum Doesn’t Happen by Chance—It’s a Decision
I was invited to present on LinkedIn for entrepreneurs. That single opportunity led to:
A glowing recommendation on my LinkedIn profile
A new client for my 21 Day LinkedIn Accelerator
Two new memberships to Content LAB
Opportunities don’t just appear; they come when we create them. And they multiply when we show up consistently.
I also leaned into content in a new way—sharing more video inside Content LAB. The energy is shifting, and the members are taking real action. They’ve been:
Sharing content on LinkedIn to establish their authority
Sending connection requests with intention
Booking digital coffees
Lining up conversations that could turn into collaborations, referrals, and sales
And because I see the impact of LinkedIn firsthand, I launched a second in-person Toronto workshop that takes place Tuesday, April 8th. This one is designed to help entrepreneurs use LinkedIn to reach across provinces and borders—diversifying their client base and creating safety nets that protect their businesses.
When You Focus on the Right Actions, Results Follow
Even outside of LinkedIn, I’m seeing the power of showing up strategically. One of my Instagram clients hit 225,000 views and 11,000 interactions this month alone. The work we put in matters, and it’s reflected in the numbers.
But most importantly? I took time for myself.
A fellow entrepreneur invited me to escape to a cottage for two nights in Tiny Township. We didn’t just rest—we focused on one project that would improve efficiencies in our businesses. That clarity? Priceless.
So, When Things Feel Hard, How Do You React?
Do you absorb the negativity and let it paralyze you?
Or do you stay in action and ensure your business keeps moving forward?
The world isn’t going to slow down for us. But we can make a choice:
Prioritize visibility
Strengthen connections
Take strategic action
I made that choice these past few weeks, and I already see the results.
Now, it’s your turn. What’s one action you’ll take to move forward this week? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to cheer you on.
